Controller​/Sr. Accounting Manager

Description

Robert Half has teamed up with a company within the construction industry on their search for a Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager with progressive accounting experience, including proven leadership and team management experience. This role will consist of overseeing and managing the financial activities and accounting functions of the corporation along with: preparing and analyzing financial statements, developing revenue generating budgeting processes, supervising the accounting team, monitoring cash flow, overseeing the month-end close process, managing accounts payable/receivable transactions, entering general ledger activities, preparing monthly financial reports, reviewing cost analysis, analyzing variances, assisting with cash flow projections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.

We are looking for a Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager with solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.

What you get to work on daily

· Provide financial forecast and projections

· Oversee and manage the general accounting functions

· Perform financial modeling and analysis

· Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data

· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

· Prepare financial reports/statements

· Streamline financial workflows

· Provide documentation to external auditors

· Manage month-end/year-end audits

· Evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency and scalability

Requirements

The ideal Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager MUST have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role

· CPA preferred

· Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS knowledge a plus)

· Construction experience preferred

· WIP is a must

· Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems;
Sage 300 CRE
