This isn’t just an oversight role; it is a highly hands-on position where you will take complete ownership of all accounting functions and financial reporting. We’re looking for a driven professional who can evaluate financial processes, manage daily transactions, and implement rigorous cash management and collection strategies.
You’ll oversee the financial health of the business from invoicing through collections, ensuring accounts remain current, cash flow is optimized, and the business continues to grow through financial discipline. While this is not currently an executive-level position, there is a clear growth trajectory for the right candidate to develop a department and advance into senior leadership as the company expands.
What You’ll Do- Own the Accounting Function: Take complete, hands-on responsibility for all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close.
- Drive Cash Management: Implement and monitor rigorous cash management strategies, ensuring positive cash flow and optimal liquidity to support ongoing operations and expansion.
- Lead Collections Efforts: Execute company policies revolving around collections, actively managing accounts receivable to minimize aging and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare Financial Reporting: Generate accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reports, providing clear visibility into the company’s financial performance.
- Develop Financial Processes: Evaluate existing financial workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that increase accuracy, consistency, and speed.
- Monitor Performance Metrics: Establish and track key financial performance indicators including cash conversion cycles, collection rates, operational costs, and profitability margins.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Leadership to align financial goals, support company-wide initiatives, and provide actionable financial insights.
- A proven accounting professional with 3-5 years of experience who is eager to step into a leadership role and grow with an expanding company.
- A hands-on doer who takes complete ownership of financial tasks and is comfortable working in the details while understanding the big picture.
- An assertive communicator who can effectively manage collections, resolve financial discrepancies, and build positive working relationships with vendors and customers.
- A process-oriented problem solver who naturally identifies financial inefficiencies and develops practical, scalable solutions.
- A cash-flow champion who understands the critical importance of cash management and proactive collections in a growing business.
- An organized professional who utilizes metrics, reporting, and accountability to drive financial performance.
- Comfortable making decisions, adapting to changing priorities, and leading through rapid company growth.
