Criminal Justice Planner

Summary

The incumbent monitors subgrant programs for compliance with State and Federal regulations and provides staff support to the subcommittees of the Delaware Criminal Justice Council.

• Assists Council in identifying problems with Criminal Justice agencies and develops methods of resolving same.
• Monitors agency subgrant programs for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develops and drafts operating policies and procedures for proposed programs.
• Trains and orients user agency staff in the policies, procedures and usage of programs.
• Staffs committees and task forces involved in the research and/or investigation of issues involving Criminal Justice agencies.

• Knowledge of criminal justice research including systematic study to discover and establish facts.
• Knowledge of interacting with criminal justice organizations such as law enforcement, courts, corrections, parole boards, community groups, or local governments.
• Knowledge of program evaluation including evaluating programs and services to identify problems, determine compliance, and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency to ensure program goals and overall objectives are met.
• Knowledge of recommending alternatives, improvements, courses of action and other changes based on findings.
• Knowledge of developing policies or procedures.
