Reimagine What’s PossibleThe I & E Technician III will report directly to the Delaware City Site Supervisor and is responsible for performing routine, non-routine, preventive, corrective, and major maintenance throughout the facility. This includes work on a variety of equipment such as analyzers, control valves, pumps, steam turbines, field instrumentation, process monitoring equipment, and general facility maintenance. This position will work closely with Plant Management, Regional Maintenance Management, Site Operations, and Site Maintenance Technicians to ensure all operational budget, and safety objectives for the site are satisfied.

- Implement and/or supervise day‑to‑day maintenance activities.
- Update Plant Maintenance records, investigation findings, and prepare relevant reports required by management.
- Provide expert feedback, and detailed analysis to aid in the planning, and execution of Corrective/Preventive Maintenance for site reliability improvement.
- Provide Turnaround/Outage/Project support.
- Provide Contractor management, and supervision to outside contractors while working at site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs of items that need repair, or maintenance performed through SAP maintenance software.
- Initiate purchasing procedures when necessary to ensure sufficient materials, and spare parts are maintained in the facility.
- Assist in accurate storage, and disposal of both Hazardous, and Non‑Hazardous waste.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with various outside suppliers who provide support services to the site.
- Maintain a clean, and organized work shop, spare parts warehouse, and office space.
- Complete all required training activities as outlined in the Instrument & Controls Technician progression guideline on time.
- Forklift, and Manlift Operations.
- Follow and adhere to Air Products Lockout / Tag Out Procedures.
- Follow SWIM, JSA, and Air Products EH&S policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma, Applicable Trade/Technical degree, Apprenticeship, Military experience preferred but not required.
- 3 years maintenance experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, and fault recognition skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of static and rotating equipment using appropriate tools and test equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing (0‑20 mA) controls.
- Ability to demonstrate a dedication to working 100% Safe all the time.
- Detail Oriented, Self Driven.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and SAP.
- Ability to read and interpret plant P&’s, Electrical drawings, piping diagrams, and schematics.
- Ability to work alone with minimal direction at times.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time. (Below Freezing & Extreme Heat).
- Willing to work overtime as required, and willing to take “on call” responsibilities and respond within 1 hr. when called upon.
- Ability to work extended hours on short notice.
