We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Division Manager to join our growing team in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Division Manager is responsible to the District Vice President or District Manager for all functions of management of the assigned division, including but not limited to Marketing, Project Management, Production and Operations. It is their responsibility to assure that the division achieves the aims and goals set for it while operating in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
General
Summary:
Work will consist of knowledge of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction industry.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the assigned division implementing plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, insuring profitable growth and fulfilling the company's commitment to the community.
- Management and function of the division.
- Monitor and control short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives, including the division’s strategic plan.
- Provide key management direction to management and supervisory personnel motivating them to function as a cohesive organization.
- Encourage the development of company spirit exemplifying fairness, creativity, integrity and healthy aggressiveness while producing maximum benefit to the employees, LLC members, customers and community.
- Interact with other management personnel to foster general information exchange and to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all divisions/departments.
- Monitor, control, schedule and balance the workload for management personnel.
- Assure proper training of all management, productive and administrative personnel in the division.
- Monitor management and designated employees that do not have the appropriate contractor's license.
- Monitor and take appropriate action to assure that items on the Division Calendar are completed on schedule.
- Monitor and control, by review, reports designated in General Policies & Operating Procedures, Instructions for Computer Reports.
- Conduct a weekly (or as otherwise needed) meeting with the entire management team to review information and discuss upcoming workload; conduct individual meetings as necessary.
- Conduct a monthly meeting of the entire management team for an in-depth discussion of the division’s operation.
- Monitor and control the Company’s established policies and procedures in the areas of, but not limited to:
- The Division Office Operating Procedures (GPOP).
- Warehouse procedures.
- The Quality Assurance Program.
- The Hazard Communication Program.
- The Substance Abuse Program.
- Vehicle usage.
- Safety and Hot Work Program.
- Assure preparation of Financial Statement.
- Monitor and control expense versus budget.
- Take appropriate action when applied overhead decreases below budget (up to and including removing employees from overhead) taking into consideration potential workload.
- Review and approve financial statements giving projected year-end profit or loss.
- Monitor and control finances and expenses in the areas of, but not limited to:
- Profit or loss of the division.
- Petty cash.
- Tool purchases.
- Control and verify accuracy of project management reports on all jobs.
- Monitor and control the project management function on all jobs.
- Assure that the job processing function is properly completed on all jobs.
- Review appropriate reports to assure the profitability of all jobs.
- Review and approve the Monthly Job Status Updates and Monthly Job Productivity Reports.
- Assure the accuracy of the division’s anticipated hours.
- Monitor and control the accuracy of explanations to the Post Job Conference Reports.
