Material Handler Level

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods across production and storage areas
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, including specialized or high-capacity equipment as required
• Load and unload materials from trucks, storage locations, and production areas
• Support production flow by ensuring timely delivery of materials to workstations
• Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for storage or shipment
• Generate, process, and verify production tickets, labels, and related documentation
• Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs) and other production documents
• Perform inventory transactions, including issuing, returning, and tracking materials in ERP or inventory systems
• Monitor material usage and support inventory accuracy and control processes
• Identify and resolve material flow issues and escalate concerns as needed
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Properly dispose of scrap materials and packaging waste
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role

• Assist in training and supporting Material Handlers I and II
• Support process improvements related to material flow and inventory accuracy
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and material reconciliation
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to optimize workflow

• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret production documents (e.g., BOMs)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills related to material flow
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Work performed in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment required
• Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment
