Position SummaryThe Quality Assurance Assistant supports the Quality Assurance Department and Chief Inspector by maintaining accurate records, reviewing aircraft maintenance documentation, and assisting with employee training administration. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, document control, and the integrity of maintenance records within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Quality Assurance Department and Chief Inspector with administrative and documentation tasks.
- Review completed aircraft work orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company procedures.
- Scan and upload maintenance records and work orders into the company recordkeeping system.
- Distribute original maintenance documentation to customers as required.
- Create, update, organize, and maintain quality assurance files and records.
- Support the Training Department by tracking employee training progress and maintaining training records.
- File and manage employee training certificates and documentation.
- Administer and monitor computerized training programs and employee completion status.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Accountable Manager and Chief Inspector.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and electronic document management systems.
- Strong computer and data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance terminology and aviation documentation.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret aircraft technical data and maintenance records.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in aviation maintenance, quality assurance, records management, or an administrative support role.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance documentation processes.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move files, records, and office materials as needed.
