Job Summary
The Order Fulfillment Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for assisting the Order Fulfillment Manager with various aspects of the customer order process for a retail branch location. The Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective order entry, management, and fulfillment strategies that align with the sales, purchasing, and inventory teams.
Responsibilities- Provide friendly, efficient service at the express pick‑up area by completing accurate register transactions, verifying memberships, loading customer orders, and expediting checkout to minimize wait times.
- Drive completion of open customer orders as directed by the Order Fulfillment Manager and/or Specialist.
- Support the growth and customer utilization of online ordering and all order fulfillment options within the market reach of the branch location.
- Communicate effectively with the Inventory and Sales Departments to maintain a consistent focus on what is best for customers.
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of registers, customer orders, and the express pick‑up area of the location.
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours per day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM systems and project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple, concise way.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
