What you will do:A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate customer concerns regarding security systems, advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and process inspections, repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems and other security equipment. The Technician will be equipped to work independently from a remote location, providing the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items.
As a trusted advisor you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
As a Commercial Service Technician you will locate and eliminate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring, readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation, and prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. You will coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Service Technicians will be responsible for the service and repair of Commercial security/Fire Alarm/CCTV/Card Access systems, provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, and identify upselling opportunities.
You will also provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
- Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
- HIRSCH Certificate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical/Electronic background.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fire alarm experience preferred.
- Some college preferred.
- NICET II or greater preferred.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29.00- 40.86 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
