- Cooking, preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and other food to children and adults in a courteous customer service-oriented manner.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring that during meal service periods the supply of food offered is replenished regularly.
- Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen and service areas
- Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storeroom at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the cook or manager
- Maintains all standards according to De State Board of Health and HACCP Plan
- Ability to learn point of sale
- Works cooperatively with co-workers
- Represents the school and the school district in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
- Performs all other tasks assigned by cook or manager
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to complete professional standards and unit classes
- Have knowledge or willingness to learn the meal pattern requirements as specified by USDA Child Nutrition Program.
- Have the ability to maintain accurate HACCP requirements and records
- Employment history demonstrates a strong work ethic and dependability
- Job requires frequent bending, twisting, turning, crawling, reaching:
Exposure to heat and cold, continuous use of hands and the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
