Job Summary:

New Castle High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary English Teacher to serve for the remainder of the  school year. The successful candidate will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, communication skills, and an appreciation for literature and writing.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver standards-based English curriculum to high school students.

* Plan and implement engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs.

* Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and communication through Power School.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture.

* Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to promote student achievement.

* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies.

Qualifications:

* Valid Indiana teaching license in English/Language Arts (Grades 9-12) or eligibility for an emergency teaching permit.

* Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

* Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Compensation:

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, following the New Castle Community School Corporation salary schedule.
