Speech Language Pathologist

Requirements

• Individuals must be properly licensed and meet Highly Qualified guidelines
• Certification:
  Speech Language Pathologist
• Strongly prefer fully licensed Indiana SLP-CCC.
• Will consider SLP-CF

• License – Transcripts - Test Scores – 2 Current Letters of Reference

This position requires an individual to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal to no supervision. Must have the ability to communicate and articulate responsibilities and requirements as a specialist for student with a speech and/or language delay.

• Possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals and teams through the development and implementation of services and supports to meet the needs of children with a speech and/or language delay
• Collaboratively works with each of the 5 member districts in the spced cooperative to provide direct and/or consultative services relating to speech/language
• Serves as TOR for some students that have an IEP with primary speech or language eligibility
• Complete evaluations, write eval reports, schedule and hole IEP meetings for students referred for speech and/or language evaluations
• Coordinate with psych staff and evaluation team to participate in autism evaluations
• Provide speech and language therapy for students on caseload
• Have knowledge of assistive technology and other devices that are designed to improve communication and independent learning for students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other relevant staff to ensure that teachers understand the impact of the language delay on the student’s learning
