MEMORY CARE ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT
The Memory Care Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.
- Provide a supportive presence and connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.
- Collaborate with the care team to support residents holistically and work toward excellent care.
- Assist with planning and leading activities that are age-appropriate and suited to different physical and cognitive abilities.
- Balance daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep to maintain a structured and engaging environment.
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers and staff:
Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
