Position Overview

$18.00–$25.00 per hour. Monday–Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00 am‑noon.
We are seeking a reliable and self‑motivated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at a busy lawnmower and outdoor power equipment store. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engine equipment while working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as tune‑ups, oil changes, blade sharpening, and belt replacements.
• Accurately identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Complete work orders in a timely and organized manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair status and parts needed.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.

• Previous experience working on small engines (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay self‑motivated throughout the day.
• Must provide your own tools.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and working with hands for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with noise and fumes.
