Technical Services Metallurgist

Job Summary

Full‑time, direct hire Technical Services Metallurgist position in New Castle, PA. Base salary $90,000‑$120,000 per year, 15% bonus, full relocation assistance, yearly profit sharing, benefits, 401(k), stock options, and a potential future career path.

• Improve process and product to meet customer requirements; run trials and lead improvement efforts.
• Provide technical guidance for all phases of production operations including melting, teeming, thermal handling, and remelting of ingots and billets.
• Oversee investigation and disposition of non‑conforming material (NCMs); perform failure investigations on customer returns and claims.
• Interact with customers on technical issues and provide technical training; instruct the Sales department by providing technical guidance and creating/revising E‑grades and remelt profiles to meet customer needs; maintain and draft new procedures for production operations and quality system management.
• Develop and lead quality training for EQS employees.
• Review production schedule and processing records to ensure that operations follow procedures and sound metallurgical practices.

• Working in a smoke‑free environment.
• Wearing steel‑toe shoes.
• Working in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
• Standing for 4 hours at one time.
• Working up to 5 hours of overtime per week.

• Experience level:
  Experienced.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree (required).

• Process Improvement – 2 years of experience required.
• Process Metallurgy – 2 years of experience required.
• Plant Metallurgy – 2 years of experience required.
