CNC Machinist; Finish Turn Lathe

Finish Turn Operator

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in New Castle, PA. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged steel rolls. Competitive wage starting at $20.50/hr with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe and controller
• Inspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specification
• Machine forging/roll to specification
• Preventative maintenance on lathe
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements &

Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally throughout shift
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous CNC or machining experience required
• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery required
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
• Good math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug screen and physical.
