• Participate in facility safety and environmental meetings, including Safety Committee meetings, Accident Investigations, and TPM and Kaizen events.
• Conduct assessments of current processes to identify or target problem areas, including development of Job Safety Analyses.
• Develop and implement process improvements and conduct necessary training to affected employees.
• Keep affected employees abreast of OSHA and EPA requirements and changes.
• Gather statistical information and present to Plant Management and others via reports or presentations.
• Work with engineers or outside vendors during installation of new equipment to ensure safety and environmental features and procedures are in place and understood.
• Document improvements using lean tools such as Waste Elimination Improvement forms.
• Complete required audits and reports related to safety and environmental compliance, working directly with company Safety and Environmental Engineers as required.
• Conduct follow‑up studies to ensure that new process improvements are working and being followed.
• Coordinate management and shipments of hazardous materials.
• Coordinate projects including TPM and Kaizen events.

• Bachelor’s Degree relating to Occupational Safety, Environmental Management or a similar field.
• Certification in Environmental Compliance (CECM) or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hazards.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in manufacturing and safety.
