The Church of Genesis in New Castle, Pennsylvania, is a non-denominational Christ-centered, Bible-teaching congregation with a heart for worship, discipleship, children’s ministries, missions, and outreach. We are a multigenerational church committed to glorifying God, loving one another, and serving the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are a congregation that values the faithful exposition of Scripture, authentic worship, meaningful relationships, and service to our community. Our desire is not simply to find someone to fill a pulpit, but to welcome a shepherd who will walk alongside us as we continue growing into the church God is calling us to become. We are seeking God's direction with humility, prayer, and an eagerness to partner together in the work of the Gospel.

As part of our outreach to the community, we currently operate both a Food Pantry and a Second-Hand Store that provide practical support and meaningful connections within our region. We are also privileged to host a thriving Recovery Ministry in partnership with the Lawrence County Drug and Alcohol Program. This ministry, led by one of our staff, reflects our commitment to sharing the hope of Christ through compassionate service to our community.

We believe God is doing a fresh work among us. While honoring the faithful foundation laid by those who came before us, we are praying expectantly for the next chapter of ministry and are seeking the pastor God has prepared to lead us into it.

We are prayerfully seeking a relational and Spirit-led Senior Pastor who joyfully proclaims the Gospel, faithfully teaches God’s Word, and shepherds the church with humility and wisdom. The Senior Pastor will help equip the saints for ministry, encourage spiritual growth across generations, and partner with church leadership to advance the mission and vision of the church.

• Prepare and deliver biblically faithful, Christ-centered sermons that clearly communicate Scripture with truth, grace, and practical application.
• Oversee the teaching ministry of the church and help maintain doctrinal integrity.

• Provide pastoral care through prayer, counseling, visitation, encouragement, and discipleship.
• Equip and encourage ministry leaders, volunteers, and members in their spiritual growth and service.

• Collaborate with church leadership and staff to clarify vision, establish ministry goals, and cultivate unity within the body.
• Model servant leadership, spiritual maturity, and healthy team culture.

• Champion discipleship, small groups, missions, and evangelistic outreach both locally and globally.
• Encourage meaningful engagement with the surrounding community through the hope of the Gospel.

• Work alongside staff and ministry leaders in planning, communication, stewardship, and organizational leadership.
• Help ensure that church policies, structures, and ministries support the mission of the church effectively and biblically.

• A four-year accredited Bible or ministry degree (or equivalent theological training and ministry experience).
• Demonstrated ability to preach and teach Scripture with clarity, conviction, and practical application.
• A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit and a shepherd’s heart.
• Alignment with our statement of faith and church governance; ordination (or willingness to pursue ordination) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relational skills with the ability to build trust across generations and backgrounds.
• Organizational wisdom with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, delegate effectively, and develop leaders collaboratively.

Recognizing that God often calls faithful shepherds through both full‑time and bi‑vocational ministry, we are committed to prayerfully discerning together the structure that best serves the church, the pastor, and his family.
