Within the Behavioral Health service line, the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will practice at a nearly 400-bed acute care teaching hospital that provides top-rated specialty care, advanced emergency services, and community-focused medicine as part of a regional leading health network. The Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric Mental Health will support a program that offers acute inpatient psychiatric care combined with a full spectrum of integrated medical services, creating an engaging environment for treating complex psychiatric conditions while coordinating medical and behavioral health needs.

Reporting to behavioral health leadership and collaborating closely with psychiatrists and hospital clinical leaders, the Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, manage psychiatric medications, provide education, document progress, and coordinate safe transitions of care. Friendly nurses, social workers, physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other diverse healthcare professionals provide the Nurse Practitioner Behavioral Health with a collaborative support system focused on safety, dignity, recovery, and continuity of care.
