US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Pack and repack non-hazardous and hazardous materials and items following packing procedures;
Select proper container and methods of packing, cushioning and follow specialized packing procedures;
Examine prepackaged items to determine whether repacking or over-packing is required, consolidate shipments, and apply certification, identification and shipping data;
Apply a wide variety of packing methods including blocking and bracing based on regulations for packing and transporting hazardous materials;
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and other equipment as needed
