Beverly Hills Polo Club  is expanding its India accessories business with Watches positioned as a high-margin, high-visibility lifestyle category. As we scale distribution across EBO, MBO, and SIS formats, we require structured category leadership with strong commercial ownership.

The Role
We are hiring a  Category Head – Watches  to lead the business end-to-end.
This role operates as a  Category P&L Owner , responsible for strategy, sourcing, pricing, planning, and profitability. You will build and scale the watch portfolio as a standalone business within the brand.

Scope & Responsibilities:
Business & P&L Ownership

• Own topline, gross margin, sell-through, and inventory productivity targets

• Deliver annual and seasonal category budgets

• Drive GMROI, stock turns, and working capital efficiency

• Manage markdown exposure and ageing risk

Category Strategy & Portfolio Architecture

• Define positioning across price tiers (entry, mid, premium)

• Build line plans and SKU architecture with clear roles

• Balance fashion, core, and evergreen SKUs

• Create seasonal drop calendars aligned with retail moments

Buying, Planning & Inventory Control

• Approve seasonal buys and depth planning

• Lead demand forecasting and intake planning

• Align sell-in vs sell-out to prevent overstock

• Own replenishment and exit strategies

Vendor & Sourcing Leadership

• Identify and develop global/domestic suppliers

• Negotiate cost, MOQs, lead times, and margins

• Oversee quality standards and product reliability

• Drive cost engineering to protect profitability

Channel & Retail Performance

• Define format-wise assortments (EBO/MBO/SIS)

• Drive productivity per door and per sq ft

• Partner with VM/Marketing for launches and storytelling

• Monitor door-level performance and course-correct quickly

Team & Governance

• Lead merchandisers and planners within the category

• Establish weekly trading reviews and seasonal retrospectives

• Build processes and accountability frameworks

Experience & Qualification
12–18+ years in watches/accessories category leadership
Demonstrated P&L ownership
Strong sourcing and vendor negotiation skills
Retail-first commercial mindset
