NEW FAIRFIELD BOARD OF EDUCATION
POSITION: ELEMENTARY TEACHER
SCHOOL:
New Fairfield Elementary School
GENERAL DUTIES:
* Establish a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement, independence, and interdependence.
* Implement NFPS elementary curriculum, aligned to CT Common Core State Standards, through the use of highly-effective instructional strategies.
* Provide instructional support and differentiation of instruction for all students.
* Use effective strategies to ensure student engagement, monitor student progress, and adjust instruction.
* Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum specialists, and administrators in professional learning and discourse to support the collective growth of the school and district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Connecticut elementary teaching certification.
* Knowledge of CT Common Core State Standards and effective instructional practices.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
* Ability to use student data to inform instruction.
* Strong organizational and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
POSITION TO START:
School Year 2026-27
