General Duties:
- Establish a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement, independence, and interdependence.
- Implement NFPS elementary curriculum, aligned to CT Common Core State Standards, through the use of highly-effective instructional strategies.
- Provide instructional support and differentiation of instruction for all students.
- Use effective strategies to ensure student engagement, monitor student progress, and adjust instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum specialists, and administrators in professional learning and discourse to support the collective growth of the school and district.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut elementary teaching certification.
- Knowledge of CT Common Core State Standards and effective instructional practices.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ability to use student data to inform instruction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
