Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning, eligibility determinations, and educational planning
  • Participate as a collaborative member of multidisciplinary teams including Child Study Team (CST) and Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings
  • Develop and contribute to individualized educational programming and behavioral intervention planning
  • Maintain clinical progress notes, evaluation reports, and other required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and administrators regarding effective instructional practices, learning needs, and social-emotional supports
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional development
  • Assist in the development and implementation of interventions and supports for students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
  • Support school-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, student wellness, and social-emotional learning
  • Interpret assessment data and communicate findings clearly to staff and families
  • Maintain strong professional relationships and contribute positively to a collaborative educational environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Connecticut Certification: 070 School Psychologist required
Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field required

  • Knowledge of psycho educational assessment practices, special education procedures, and student support services
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive practices and supporting the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students

SALARY:
Per NFEA Contract

School Year 2026–2027
