Job DescriptionPOSITION: Art Teacher
- Long Term Substitute
SCHOOL: New Fairfield Elementary School
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate art instruction aligned with the district’s elementary curriculum and applicable standards.
- Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, cultures, and traditions.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of all students.
- Establish a safe, inclusive, and well-managed art classroom that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback that supports artistic growth.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to support interdisciplinary learning and school wide activities.
- Organize, maintain, and safely manage art materials, equipment, and student artwork.
QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate Connecticut Art Education Certification (042 – Art, PreK–12)
SALARY: Daily rate based on education and certification
POSITION TO START: November 16, 2026 through January 4, 2026
