Relationship Banker II

The Relationship Banker II role provides services for Banking Center customers, assisting the team in achieving sales, service, and operation goals based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role processes all customer‑related financial transactions in accordance with the bank’s rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to customers' needs in an accurate and timely fashion, capitalizing on resources and tools available.
  • Evaluate customers’ needs and offer appropriate financial products and services through needs‑based conversations to build and deepen relationships.
  • Perform routine teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments and other transactions as necessary.
  • Support segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to execute the Banking Center’s growth and profitability objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed both individual and team goals in sales, service, and operations.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations and bank policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed branch audit and operations evaluation requirements.
  • Assist with supervision of banking center colleagues by offering coaching support, acting as a role model, and helping onboard new bankers.
Work Schedule

Employees may be required to work Saturdays, Sundays, and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating a team.
  • Working knowledge of all products and services available at Webster.
  • Current familiarity with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
  • Strong customer‑service skills and the ability to support teamwork, creating a positive working environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule.
Education and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) preferred.
Experience
  • 3–4 years of customer sales/service experience, including 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Needs‑based banking sales experience preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $21.50 to $26.00 per hour. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
