Accountant / Tax Preparer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant / Tax Preparer to provide accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services for individual and small business clients. This role involves preparing tax returns, maintaining financial records, supporting clients, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Growth opportunities, including performance-based bonuses and potential partnership, are available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, estates, and trusts.
• Maintain accounting records, perform bookkeeping, and prepare financial statements.
• Enter and reconcile financial data with accuracy.
• Communicate with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Analyze financial reports and present findings to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation.
• Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Experience preparing business and individual tax returns.
• CPA certification is required.
