About the Position
Located in Rindge, NH, Franklin Pierce University is seeking a Controller or Finance Manager to join the Finance Team. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and currently supervises staff responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Accounting. The Controller or Finance Manager is responsible for all accounting‑related activities, including budget management, cash and debt management, annual audits, preparation of financial and grant reports, tax reports, financial analysis, and committee work.

- Manage budget, cash, and debt obligations
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare financial and grant reports
- Prepare tax reports and conduct financial analysis
- Perform committee work related to finance and accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (graduate degree desirable)
- Significant experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in education or a related industry
- Certified Public Accountant license preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and management skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in grants management desirable
Location:
Rindge, NH (on campus). Relocation assistance is available.
Salary will be based on level of supervisory responsibilities and relevance of the candidate’s work history.
