Administrative Assistant
Deerfield Community School, a PreK-8 public school in Deerfield, NH, is seeking qualified and enthusiastic candidates for an Administrative Assistant position for the school year. The DCS Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive support to school administration, staff, students, and families while ensuring the efficient operation of the school office. Responsibilities include managing student and staff records within the school information system (ALMA) maintaining attendance, scheduling, registration, reporting, and database systems supporting communication between school departments and families. Key duties include, but are not limited to overseeing student enrollment and registration processes maintaining accurate student and staff records assisting with scheduling and report generation managing attendance and discipline documentation preparing required state and district reports.
The position also supports office operations by answering phones, assisting staff and families, operating office technology, creating documents and school communications, and coordinating report cards, assessment records, and student file management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technology proficient, detail oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced school environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent;
an associate's degree is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Google and other relevant software. Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
