Department Of Medicine Faculty Affairs Coordinator

Works closely with the Chair and the executive assistant to the Chair to ensure the smooth operation of the Department of Medicine (DOM) faculty affairs. This includes coordinating faculty searches/offers, new appointments, reappointments, and requests for clinical privileges.

Responsibilities
  • Works closely with HR on all faculty searches and new hires. Tracks all faculty searches, prepares offer letters and follows all appointment activity.
  • Works closely with administrative partners in all 16 sections within the DOM to ensure that current faculty data is up to date and accurate for over 500 faculty members.
  • Continually updates and maintains faculty database.
  • Works closely with the Geisel School of Medicine, the VA Medical Center, MHMH and DHMC representatives to ensure that all faculty are privileged, credentialed and have current appointments.
  • Collaborates with representatives in the southern region of NH, as well as out of state regions, to accurately account for all adjunct faculty.
  • Process offer letters, privilege templates and observation requests.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree with 3 years of experience (at least 2 of which are supporting an executive or comparable level position), or the equivalent in education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, File Maker Pro and most social media platforms required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, assess priorities and organize workload required.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative, but also coordinate in a team.
  • Must have ability to recognize, set and fulfill high standards and have strong attention to detail.
