POSITION TITLE:
Administrative Assistant/Office Assistant
SUPERVISOR:
School Principal
DURATION: 10 months
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional training or experience is desirable
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Good organizational and technical skills including effective use of various hardware and software applications
- Thorough knowledge of record keeping and filing techniques
- Perform a wide variety of office duties utilizing computers, email, proofreading, websites, filing, and processing and distribution of all reports and correspondence
- Maintain school records and accounts as assigned
- Generate daily notices
- Establish, maintain, and ensure proper use and access to confidential files
- Screen correspondence and telephone calls for administrator and staff
- Make arrangements for school visitations and facility use
- Cares for injured/ill students in the absence of school nurse or administrator
- Maintain school records, accounts, and budget information as assigned
- Maintain daily student/staff attendance/lunch count
- Assist students, parents, teachers, & visitors as appropriate
- Receive and distribute mail
- Generate and ensure the accuracy and punctuality of reports for state, auditors, and others
- Participate as a member of the Emergency Management Team
- Perform other position‑related tasks or services as may be assigned by the school Principal
The individual in this position is expected to participate in the professional growth and evaluation process in accordance with the District procedures.
