High School Substitute Coordinator
Oyster River High School has an opening for a school year Substitute Coordinator.
Qualifications:The role requires a friendly, outgoing individual with a professional demeanor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, multitasking, organizational, and time management skills and will demonstrate the ability to understand and follow procedures effectively.
Job Goal:This position will coordinate substitutes in their building and reports to the building Principal.
Hiring & Training:Review applications, conduct interviews, perform reference checks, and train incoming substitute teachers.
- Scheduling & Supervision:
Coordinate substitute teachers within the building, ensuring smooth operations. Filling in as a substitute as needed.- Assumes responsibility, when available for overseeing pupil behavior in class, and other assigned periods (study halls, lunchroom, Core etc.)
- Communication is key between building staff and supervisor. Exchange report/timecard to SAU weekly.
- Assist in the Front Office as needed.
- Single medical benefit offered with this position.
