Position OverviewThe Auto Body Shop Technician is responsible for repairs and restoration, including minor and major collision damage to vehicles and basic mechanical repairs.
Who You Are- You have 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge in automotive repair and restoration
- You are focused on the quality of your work
- You are a reliable individual with a proven work ethic
- You are passionate about taking care of the customer, and you communicate well with service team members to ensure customers are receiving accurate service
- You have the keen ability to identify problems quickly
- You have a proven ability to set and achieve targeted goals
- You consistently meet or exceed productivity and service standards
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Check parts against the estimate and ensure proper parts were ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed, documents and extra parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations about paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- At least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
