The Material Handling Supervisor supports manufacturing operations within the Traffic Department by supervising associates, organizing workflow, and managing daily domestic, international, and Foreign Trade Zone activities. This role is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient material movement, ensuring compliance with EH&S, ISO 9000, CBP, and FTZ requirements, and supporting continuous improvement across shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. The position reports to the respective department manager.

Essential Job Functions Lead and supervise Traffic and Materials Handling associates to meet daily departmental goals.

Staff, train, schedule, and monitor associates while managing timekeeping, attendance, and performance feedback.

Oversee inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments, including shipping, receiving, and export documentation activities.

Manage daily FTZ operations, including admissions, shipments, inventory movements, recordkeeping, and compliance with CBP and FTZ Board requirements.

Maintain accurate inventory transactions and system records within Oracle ERP and related FTZ or MRP systems.

Develop and maintain work instructions, performance metrics, and records in compliance with ISO 9000 requirements.

Coordinate activities with warehouse, production, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other internal and external partners.

Maintain a secure, clean, and safe work environment while supporting company and facility policies and programs.

Lead corrective and preventive actions, promote teamwork, and drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
5 years' minimum experience in a manufacturing environment, previous experience in a supervisory or lead position preferred.

High School diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous Shipping and Receiving experience required.

Proven ability to lead/drive change using lean manufacturing techniques required.

Ability to communicate effectively - verbal and written.

Ability to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.

Must possess strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and be able to train associates in the team.
