Overview

Nellie's Treehouse is located in Amherst NH and is a state licensed childcare program. Our mission is to provide consistent, quality care for children 6 weeks to kindergarten in a program that utilizes hands on learning and exploration.

- Nellie's is opening a second facility and looking to employ lead, associate and assistant teachers to nurture, educate, and care for our new students. These positions will offer room for career growth and advancement.

• Following NH state regulations
• Engaging and interacting with families, children and coworkers
• Planning and implementing age and developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Actively engaging with students during the day
• Utilizing Brightwheel to keep parents informed
• Being effective and managing behaviors
• Empowering children to reach their potential
• Consistent attendance

• Lead - minimum of 18 credits in ECE including 3 cr. in Child Growth and Development
• Associate - minimum of 9 credits in ECE including 3 cr. in Child Growth and Development
• Assistant - High School Diploma with some experience
• Must be willing to get CPR/First Aid
• Must pass state and FBI fingerprint and background check
• Must maintain 18 hours of professional development annually

  About Us

  Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

  The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

  The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
