Location: Pittsfield
We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager and field teams to drive projects from preconstruction through closeout—ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Ideal candidates have hands‑on construction experience and thrive in both office and field environments.
Responsibilities- Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor bid review
- Help develop and update project schedules and budgets
- Track project costs and code labor, materials, and subcontractors
- Coordinate and review submittals and O&M manuals
- Maintain current project drawings and documentation
- Track fabrication and delivery of materials and equipment
- Support subcontractor coordination and field operations
- Assist with RFIs and change order documentation
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience in Water and Wastewater Construction
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Combination of office and active construction site work. Must be able to navigate job sites and lift up to 50 lbs.
