About the role As a Site Superintendent at Jbconsulting, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations on-site are conducted efficiently and safely while adhering to project timelines and budgets. - Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that materials and labor are available as needed for project progress.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Address any issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively, minimizing disruptions to the workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, incident reports, and material usage.
- Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Implement best practices for construction methods and safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor junior staff and laborers, fostering their professional development and ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare and manage budgets for construction projects, tracking expenses and ensuring financial accountability.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on site conditions, progress, and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, obtaining necessary permits and inspections as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a focus on site supervision.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
- Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations specific to New Hampshire.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or other relevant safety training.
- Knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools for tracking project progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong analytical skills to assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage contracts and subcontractor agreements.
- This position is based in Stratham, New Hampshire, and may require occasional travel to various job sites in the surrounding areas.
- The role may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions, so candidates should be prepared for physical demands.
