Video Production, AV Technician
WHB Concert and Production Services is seeking a full‑time audio engineer to support concerts and live events. Two or more years of experience running sound is preferred, but we also welcome motivated candidates with less experience who are eager to learn through hands‑on training. Recent graduates of audio production or live event programs are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of professional audio equipment and PA systems and be comfortable identifying and troubleshooting technical issues, with training provided as needed.
The role incorporates multiple aspects of live and installed audio, including work as an onsite audio tech and engineer for permanent systems, setup and operation of traveling systems for events, and installation of new systems in diverse venues.
Responsibilities include:
- general shop work
- prepping systems
- setting up consoles
- mixing at FOH or monitor positions
- routine maintenance
- repair work
Must be able to interface with clients, venue production managers, and tour personnel in a professional and courteous manner. Engineers must maintain clear communication with WHB regarding the status of audio systems.
Additional skills in system installation, networking, drafting, rigging, lighting, and/or video are a plus.
Candidates must have regular weekend availability. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; experience with driving trucks is a plus.
