Overview

The Truss Designer plays a crucial role in the construction industry by creating detailed designs for trusses that are essential for the structural integrity of buildings. This position requires a deep understanding of geometry and building codes to ensure that all designs meet safety and regulatory standards. Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in truss design and familiarity with construction drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Mitek software and other design software tools.
  • Knowledge of pre-construction processes and project management.
Responsibilities
  • Create detailed truss designs using design software, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop design solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Manage change orders and modifications to designs as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize Mitek software to analyze and optimize truss designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
