Overview
Souhegan High School (SAU 39) is seeking a paraprofessional to provide full time support services to students in school and in the community. An ideal candidate will be able to support students in accessing high school content, manage student behaviors, collect data, collaborate with colleagues, accept feedback, communicate clearly in writing and in conversation, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and have a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities- Provide full time support services to students in school and in the community.
- Support students in accessing high school content.
- Manage student behaviors.
- Collect data and collaborate with colleagues.
- Accept feedback, communicate clearly in writing and in conversation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism; demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- High School Diploma required;
College degree and/or paraprofessional certification preferred. - Knowledge and experience with specific areas of disabilities and high school curriculum, particularly in mathematics.
- Ability to work with students one on one and in classroom settings.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, listen to feedback, and adjust approach as directed.
- Successful experience working in a high school or community setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; well-organized, reliable, independent; willingness to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
