Job Title Adjunct Faculty in Sociology Position Purpose

New England College seeks a part-time faculty member to teach Introduction to Sociology in the undergraduate residential program, as needed. The preference is for face-to-face instruction, although teaching an asynchronous online version is an option at times.

Essential Duties Summary

* Engage all students to facilitate and achieve course learning outcomes;

* Review and grade all work submitted by students and provide timely and substantive feedback;

* Coach struggling students toward success;

* Provide "experiential learning" opportunities whenever possible.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum of a master's degree in sociology or related field

* Prior teaching and proven record of teaching effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Sociology or related field
