The Henry W. Moore School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and team-oriented grade 5–6 mathematics teacher to join our K–8 school community for the 2026–2027 school year.

The Moore School serves as an important part of the local community, and we value strong relationships among students, families, and staff. This position includes teaching four math classes per day to students in grades 5 and 6, with an average class size of approximately 15 students. Small class sizes allow teachers to truly know their students and provide personalized instruction and support.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Providing clear, engaging, and standards-based mathematics instruction for grades 5 and 6
  • Building positive relationships with students and maintaining a structured, supportive classroom environment
  • Using student data and classroom observations to guide instruction and support individual learners
  • Working collaboratively with grade-level colleagues, special educators, and support staff
  • Communicating openly and respectfully with families
  • Participating in team meetings, professional learning, and school-wide activities
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree
  • Valid NH teacher certification in Elementary Education (K-6) and/or Middle School Mathematics (5-8)
  • Strong understanding of elementary and middle-level math content
  • Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners
  • Willingness to be an active, positive presence in a small school community
  • Criminal Record Check:
    Required by NH RSA 189:13-a
  • Pre-Employment medical exam:
    Required per NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3
