Deerfield Community School is a PreK‑8 grade school located in Deerfield, NH. Our teaching staff builds strong relationships with students, parents, and the community, going above and beyond to meet diverse student needs. Teachers participate in Critical Friends Group (CFG), Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Curriculum Review Board (CRB), and weekly all‑staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Position DurationThis role will fill a short‑term parental leave from May 1 2026 – June 19 2026.
Responsibilities- Instruct small groups of students and oversee all aspects of their specialized instructional program.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the special education process.
- Provide specialized instruction to meet the needs of students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and other members of the IEP team.
- Exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism.
- NAS/ Masters degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment.
- New Hampshire State Certification – Special Education Teacher.
