Job Description7th/8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Haverhill Cooperative Middle School in North Haverhill, New Hampshire. Haverhill Cooperative Middle School serves approximately 175 students in grades 5-8 and is a close-knit community committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.
The successful candidate will be an educator who embraces the unique opportunities and challenges of middle school, believes in the power of strong relationships, and creates engaging learning experiences that inspire students to become confident readers, writers, and communicators.
Responsibilities- Deliver highly engaging and effective English Language Arts instruction to students in grades 7 and 8.
- Foster a classroom culture where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged.
- Build positive, productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Utilize data and formative assessment practices to guide instruction and support student growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and school culture.
- Serve as a positive and active member of the school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to middle level philosophy and the developmental needs of young adolescents.
- New Hampshire certification in English Language Arts or eligibility for certification.
- Strong instructional practices and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for working with middle school students and helping them succeed both academically and personally.
