Substitute Teacher or Substitute Para; Per Diem

Once hired on, our subs have the option of working in multiple buildings and when your schedule allows!

Substitute Teacher

Per diem, at rates established by the Superintendent and approved by the School Board.

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
• Ability to learn and use the sub placement system (Frontline) using an app, website, or phone

Substitute Coordinator and Building Administrator

Performed annually by the Substitute Coordinator with feedback from building administrators

To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and effectively as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.

• Report to the Building Administrator 15 minutes before the official opening of school
• Review all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day, when necessary with the Building Administrator
• Maintain as closely as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she has been assigned.
• Consult with the Building Administrator before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the Substitute Teacher’s Guide
• Report in writing, on the form provided by the school secretary, on the day’s activities at the conclusion of each teaching day
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and are dictated by good teaching practices
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Substitute Coordinator and/or the Building Administrator.
