Richards School Leadership Team Member
The Richards School Leadership Team (SLT) Member plays a vital role in supporting the school's vision, mission, and continuous improvement efforts. This individual collaborates with administration, teachers, and staff to foster a culture of academic excellence, positive school climate, and professional growth. SLT members contribute to decision-making processes, assist in implementing school-wide initiatives, and serve as liaisons between stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- School Improvement Planning:
Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing the school's strategic improvement plan, ensuring alignment with district and state goals. - Instructional Leadership:
Support and guide best instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and assessment strategies to enhance student achievement. - Data Analysis:
Review and interpret student performance data to identify trends, develop intervention strategies, and support instructional decisions. - School Culture & Climate:
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment by supporting behavior expectations, character education, and student engagement initiatives. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between staff, administration, and the broader school community to ensure clear, transparent, and effective communication. - Meeting Participation:
Attend and contribute to regular leadership team meetings, providing input on policies, programs, and operational matters. - Mentorship & Support:
Serve as a mentor to colleagues by offering guidance, sharing resources, and supporting new or developing teachers. - Special Projects & Initiatives:
Lead or support school-wide initiatives, such as parent engagement programs, diversity and equity efforts, or community outreach. - Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform additional responsibilities as determined by the principal to support the school's success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current teaching certification in Richards education (or relevant field).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as serving on committees or leading professional development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and apply findings to instructional strategies.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented school culture.
Working Conditions & Expectations:
- Attend leadership team meetings as scheduled.
- Participate in school-wide events and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Salary: $2,772.36
