Job SummaryAre you passionate about teaching others and making a positive difference in the lives of young people? The Contoocook School, located in Contoocook, NH is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our team and provide focused, real‑time instruction to adolescents in grades 6‑12 requiring integrated social thinking and executive functioning support.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop and implement lessons tailored to student needs.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Assess student progress.
- Provide instruction across all required content areas.
- Design and implement hands‑on, experiential learning activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- New Hampshire teaching license or statement of eligibility (SOE) in General Special Education (1900).
- Experience working with youth with various mental health and special education needs.
- For individuals with an SOE, NFI North will work with you on a site‑based learning plan toward full licensure as a General Special Education teacher.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
