7.25 hours per day | 5 days per week | 197 days per year (includes paid holidays)
About the Role

We are looking for an encouraging, collaborative, and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional II to join our school family. In this rewarding role, you will work under the professional guidance and supervision of our Special Education Teachers to provide vital assistance to students ranging from 3 to 22 years of age.
Whether working in our district schools or alternative educational settings, you will directly support students individually or in small groups delivering basic, developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to their Individual Education Programs (IEPs). Whether you are assigned to a single student or a small group, your presence will be the cornerstone of their daily success.
Your Everyday Impact
- Empower Student Learning:
Guide children individually or in small groups through reading, writing, math, and vital life skills. - Foster a Supportive Environment:
Use a variety of teaching strategies, behavior management techniques, and instruction styles tailored to different learning needs and developmental stages. - Collaborate for Success:
Work as a core member of a tight-knit classroom team, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to champion student activities and overcome daily hurdles. - Tech-Savvy Support:
Utilize office software, educational tools, student databases, and assistive learning technologies to elevate the classroom experience. - Maintain Trust & Care:
Keep a watchful eye on detail, follow through on student responsibilities, and protect the significant confidentiality required in a student services environment.
What You Bring to Our Classrooms
Education & Licensure Certification:
Must hold or be eligible for New Hampshire Para educator II certification.
Skills & Knowledge
Proven Experience:
A background working with children in a professional or school setting.
Foundational Knowledge:
Solid baseline skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and educational professionalism.
Developmental Insight: A deep understanding of child developmental stages (birth to age 22), different learning styles, family influences on learning, and factors that may impact typical development.
Heart & Professionalism: A natural sensitivity to student needs, knowledge of applicable educational laws, regulations, and procedural safeguards, and the physical ability to safely assist students with disabilities.
Adaptability: A flexible schedule, excellent organizational habits to manage a multi-tasking role, and a warm, service-oriented approach to education.
