Private & Group Lesson Piano Faculty-Belmont

Position Overview

The Community School of Music and Arts has been the leader in high-quality music education in Silicon Valley since 1968. We are looking for motivated, experienced, fun, and engaging individuals to teach in‑person private and group lessons to children and adults at the Belmont location in Artisan Crossing. This is a part‑time, hourly position. Please review the schedule information below before applying.

• Salary: $35–$55 per hour depending on experience.

• Bachelor's degree in performance and/or music education with an emphasis in Piano.
• Minimum of 2 years private lesson piano teaching experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and practical aspects of private music instruction and piano pedagogy.
• Proven success in teaching in a private studio.
• Experience teaching students of all ages and abilities with an emphasis on appreciation and enjoyment of music.
• Demonstrated success teaching beginning‑level students preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to converse comfortably with diverse groups of people.
• Performing experience preferred.

• Teach in‑person at CSMA’s Mountain View or Belmont location.
• Must be available on Friday between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
