Specialized Instruction For Students With Autism Spectrum Disorders

This position provides specialized instruction in a structured, self-contained learning environment designed to meet the unique academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs of students, primarily those with autism spectrum disorders. This position develops and implements individualized education programs (IEPs), utilizes evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies, fosters independence, and creates a safe, predictable learning environment where all students can succeed. The teacher collaborates closely with related service providers, general education staff, and families, and effectively supervises, trains, and directs paraprofessionals to ensure consistent implementation of student supports and high-quality instruction throughout the school day.
